Pattern and Chaos

Observing people has been a past time of mine since childhood. Before electronic pacifier was a thing.

Carefully looking at what people are doing. Are they really enjoying? Or are they faking? Are they aware of their habits? Or are they mindlessly executing conditioned behaviour over and over again? Why are they doing what they do?

As you can see, I was and still am a curious person whose mind is filed with questions. Questions nobody seem to have an answer to. Hence, I would like to come up with answers. Logical ones to fill the gap of curiosity and the thirst for completing my thoughts.

Human are creatures of habits. And I do believe in details and what seemed to be minute behaviour and tasks are governed by patterns. By finding such patterns, it becomes relatively easy to predict or even to explain why certain behaviour exists.

For instance, if a person who is never grateful and always compares him/herself with others, you can almost guarantee that his/her inner world is filled with misery and bitterness.

Patterns are so interesting to look at because they are the fundamental flow that guide a lot of smaller, finer things. Even its opposing state, chaos, in my opinion, is governed by patterns.

Music feels as free as a bird. Without much constriction. Different genres complement with different moods we feel.

However, such chaos is also bounded by patterns and rules. Different songs could be within the same scale or key.

Social unrest and chaos are all ruled by patterns if you think deeper and give them more time.

Hence, by actively aligning the mind to the stillness and calmness of the present moment, patterns start to arise. Chaos ensue. Or maybe, they go hand in hand like a dance.

At least, be an audience and admire the beauty of it all.
